Sam Mendes World War 1 epic required an ‘epic’ world premiere in London’s Leicester Square.
Tight build restrictions due to the Christmas fair in Leicester Gardens coupled with a far from straight forward carpet plan resulted in a tricky design process. All video content was in widescreen landscape and the client requested the content be the star of the show.
Limited Edition designed a series of 4 giant high resolution LED screens mounted on a Layher base and clad with black surrounds to convey the stunning content Mr Mendes’s team provided. Searchlights were positioned between the screens to convey the WW1 feel along with a matt black stage with Tile Treatment background and a giant photowall to act as the main rear of camera shot.
The following day the LEE team provided lighting, sound and lighting for the press conference at the Imperial War Museum.
